The plane guiding support is similar to the plane sliding support, consisting of three parts: the upper sliding bracket, the friction pair, and the lower base plate. However, the plane guiding support allows only axial displacement of the pipeline relative to the support while restricting horizontal radial displacement, preventing lateral deflection of the pipeline's axial center. It is mainly used at the ends of expansion joints and in situations where the pipeline's center must remain unchanged. Like the plane sliding support, the upper sliding bracket structure of the plane guiding support comes in two types: box-shaped and saddle-shaped. The box-shaped guiding support is mainly used for pipelines with a smaller nominal diameter, while saddle-shaped guiding supports are generally used for pipelines with a larger nominal diameter.
